Drivers Beware!

Will all those drivers who hug my ass, back off please! I try to be a careful driver, and I know I’m not perfect, but I can’t do anything about those driver who hug my back bumper.  I am totally pissed off with it!

The other day I was driving in a small town and the speed limit was 50 km/hr. Sure enough I get two drivers who are tight to my bumper. Do I have to get in the turning lane just to get out of their way? Do I have to feel guilty because I’m going the speed limit and I’m in their way? Maybe I don’t need to, but I do!

No, I’m not saying I always drive the speed limit and I’ve had some irritating drivers going 60 in an 80 zone or 80 in the 100 zone on the TCH. Yes, I get very anxious but if I’m travelling behind someone going the speed limit, I can accept that. If I’m tired or finding the road conditions difficult, I pull over when appropriate and let the other drivers pass me.

Often I feel that the drivers have road rage and when they do the finger or shout out the side window, I want to scream back “Don’t take your miserable problems out on me!  I’m going the speed limit.  You’re the idiot who is breaking the law, not me!”  But I smile and keep my eyes on the road and the vehicles in front of me. I try very hard to think… he or she is the one with the problem, not me. Annoying though it is, life goes on.
