What The New Year May Bring

Who can say what a new year will bring to each of us? It is with a sense of joy and love that some of us feel comfortable enough in our skin that we trust that life will be good for us. We imagine a year filled with many adventures. Yes, we know there will be challenges but our minds are strong and we feel we can handle anything that comes our way.

Often we would like to offer advice and a helping hand to those amongst us who lack our confidence and certainty that everything will turn out fine. We hold back. We hesitate for we do not wish to interfere. We offer tea or a listening ear but we try not to offer our sincere opinions. We allow our friends to find their own paths. Are we right or is our fear holding us back?

If we follow modern day dreamers we believe that worry is useless and it is only NOW that we exist and need to be concerned with. Every day I hear about people’s inability to sleep, their incessant worry about their health. The past is the topic of many conversations. Regrets and stories which continue to impact lives keep the pain going on.

When you rise tomorrow sit with your cup of tea and watch the sky change colors. Be thankful for all the joys in your life and if your mind wanders to negative things, bring yourself back to the positives. Count your blessings. Strive for peace. Smile. Share your joyful ness.

Happy New Year!
