Aftermath of the Camino

My feet are still hurting. When I awake at night I think Im at an alberique in Spain. I search for my phone and money. Then I realize where I am. I use the washroom and then get comfy again. I do this every night. When will I realize that the camino is over? Just imagine if you slept in 35 beds in 37 nights, protecting your passport, money and phone each night. Do you think you would recognize that you are back home?

This happens to me every time I come home from an extended trip. It is the strangest feeling!

I think that is a normal reaction. It must feel good when you realize you are at home.

I can’t even adjust from a one-nighter away from home! 🙂 You are definitely now acclimated to changing beds every night and the self protection thing…..
