Oh, No, More Snow!

When I’m sitting inside on a blustery December day, I imagine the cool days of May in Spain while walking the Camino de Santiago. There were warm days where my glasses steamed up while huffing and puffing on several days. These were early days where I acted hastily and mailed my warm black hooded jacket and down vest home. Later I paid for a dependable Altus poncho and fleecy so I didn’t freeze in the early morning and evenings. Now as I dread going out in the -2 weather, I know I don’t have to go anywhere and I can cover up with a blanket or put on more clothes.

No worries about mittens or underwear but it is always good to be prepared! I brought gloves with me on the camino and kept them, while sending home my needed warm jacket. Lessons to be learned from a long walk…they come to Monday from time to time.
