Walking on Asphalt for Most of the Day

We left Conimegra

at 5:30 a.m. And arrived over many hills, some very steep ones, down to Coimbra, a remarkable city. So beautiful but with some litter issues. Lots of Cobblestone streets.

We had booked Riverside Suites on the advice of a young man at the museum yesterday. It is a new hotel and very up to date.

Just had lamb, salad and boiled potato at a restaurant close by. It is the most expensive meal so far, 18 euros. But it is worth every euro. I was hungry for a good meal. We had bacon and eggs earlier with black tea and that was amazing for 4 euros, which is about 6 dollars.

Yesterday the heat made the garbage sitting in huge bins repulsive. There is too much garbage everywhere. Im not impressed with the mess and grafitti.

Off to Mealhada in the morning!
