Short Walk To Sao Joao da Madiera

We left Hotel Dighton around 8 this morning after a sumptious buffet breakfast. Couldnt ask for better and the coffee was the best so far on this camino!

Since it is Saturday and a town Fair day the townsfolk were speedily all over the place. I put on my ipod nano and didnt look back.

We covered the less than 10 km quickly and stopped before the end for a cold juice and a fish treat for 1.65 euros.

We arrived at our hotel too early to check in but the young man let us into our room to change and leave our backpack. Then we went close by for a snack.

Walking around is pleasant and there are many little shops. This town is known for its production of hats and shoes. Perhaps I should be looking for a unique hat! Too bad we cant buy anything as we have to carry it for hundreds of miles.

Off to Porto tomorrow! 9 days of walking done.
