Barcelos by 11a.m. Without Rain

It has been so wet and cold for the past four days that I am grateful for cool and cloudy.

We left the albergue de Peregrinos in Sao Pedro de Rates at 6:10a.m. For the most part glad to be leaving it behind. One bathroom for 40 pilgrims(others dowstairs but who wants to go ouside to use them after midnight in the rain). No lock on door and male and female using the same one. Yes, very glad to have listened to German Angelica and booked a hotel in Barcelos.

What a place to spend an afternoon! There are hundreds of little cafes and boutiques. Since we cannot carry more weight, we are not tempted! Yvonne is not but I am.

We met Tina from Germany and she has decided to stay in this hotel too. We will rest and then do some exploring. My knee and hip have been giving me some pain so Im taking er easier!

Good to treat yourself to nice hotel once in a while. Take care of your joints. Take painkillers if you need them!
