In Rubias at Quinta da Leiras May 25/14

The mountain was difficult today but we survived the mountain climb and the 20 km walk. We stopped at three cafes altogether. The first was nice. I had tea and toast. The next one just before the mountain I had an icecream and water. This one was very dirty. Hated to use the washroom. The last cafe was after the mountain and I had omelet and salad and cold beer.

We got to the quinta and it is lovely. We showered and sat out in the sun. I did reflexology on three pilgrims’ feet. Then we went to a nearby restaurant for supper. We all ate the Fried Meats Platter with fries and salad. No free wine. I had coffee before paying 8.5 euros.

Another 20km to Tui tomorrow! And then another 20 and we get a shorter day on Wednesday.
