June 1/2014 End of Walk-Made it the 25 km to Santiago

Left at 6 this morning, full of aches and pains. No cafe for many kilometres. We finally found one around 10 and I enjoyed tostada and cafe con leche. Later 6 km from Santiago I had a Coke and some chips. Not much food to walk 25 km on. I had a banana and water along the way.

Beautiful walk and the uphill wasnt too bad. But there were bicyclists passing us every few minutes, some on very narrow paths.

Arriving at 1:30 we went right to the office of peregrina. There were at least 50 people ahead of us waiting to get their credencials, a certificate stating that you have walked the camino.

At 3:30 we finally got our credencials and got a cab to our hotel. We saw only one face we knew, Claus from Germany. He arrived yesterday.

So as all good things must end, our camino is over for 2014. Now for some relaxation time.
