8 Hours To Markina on a Sunday

It was a beautiful day and a couple of nice Cafes at the beginning but nothing for last 2/3 of way. There were difficult ascents at beginning which made me question my choice of Camino.  At one part there was a narrow road and several cars passed by, one with three young men inside.  Too many big untethered dogs. Even cows very close to path.

At the end, maybe last 2 km I saw a lady getting in her car. I asked the young woman if she was going to Markina and she said yes. She gave me a ride right to restaurant where our backpacks were delivered and then she walked with me to her private alberigue. I didn’t go out for supper as I was too knackered. Today I’m sending some items home at Correos.

This was my last day walking with the woman from Holland. I decided the next morning to go on alone. I had done two caminos prior to this one, the first alone.

Sounds like this one is challenging. Perhaps you should rest today. XO
