There are alberigues and then there are awesome albergues April 28/15

i made it to Casa Carmena, a private albergue and was gob smacked, the best modern alberigue of all three caminos. The two welcoming ladies were very kind. Place designed by Sara. You don’t bump your head in your bunk. There is a small light for reading and an outlet to plug in your phone. 16 euro and breakfast for 2 euros. Menu Delia for 8 without dessert, 10 with. Spa like washrooms. Gardens to sit in. Sinks for washing clothes and clotheslines. Even a drying room for overnight. So here is my ranking for this Camino:

#1. Casa Carmena, Muros De Nalon

#2. Maria and Jose Ramon(9 km from Santander) Great welcome and food!

#3 Father Ernesto’s place in Guemes
